What this website is, and what it is not.

General information, not legal advice

Everything on this website, including the practice area descriptions and any articles on our blog, is general information about the law and about Isoe & Associates Advocates LLP. It is written for a wide audience and cannot take account of your own facts. It is not legal advice, and you should not act, or decide not to act, because of something you read here. The law also changes, and an article may be out of date by the time you read it. If you have a legal problem, speak to an advocate about your particular situation.

No advocate-client relationship from an enquiry

Visiting this site, reading it, or sending us a message through the contact form, by email or by telephone does not create an advocate-client relationship between you and the firm or any of its advocates. That relationship begins only when we have agreed to act for you, checked that we have no conflict of interest, and confirmed the terms in writing, usually in an engagement letter.

Until then, please do not send us confidential information or documents. Information you send before we agree to act may not be protected by advocate-client privilege in the way that it would be once we are instructed.

Why the site is informational

Advocates in Kenya are bound by the Advocates Act and by the Advocates (Practice) Rules, which restrict how advocates may advertise and solicit work. For that reason this site is meant to inform. It describes who we are and the areas of law we work in, and it is not an invitation to instruct us or a promise of any particular result. Mention of past work, where it appears, is not a guarantee that a similar matter will end the same way.

Third-party material and links

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We have not checked all of them, and we are not responsible for their content or accuracy.

Our responsibility

We try to keep the site accurate, but we make no promise that it is complete, current or free of error. To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss that results from relying on it. This does not limit anything we owe you once you are our client, or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Speaking to us
